More space usually does the trick. Make bedrooms 5x5 or 6x6 (the inner space, not including walls). Don't go any smaller than that unless you absolutely have to (early game, short of materials, etc.). If you want to be really extravagant (eg. for someone with Jealous) go for 8x8 bedrooms.
