Here, two new species, Phanerogramma kellyi sp. nov. and Brevicula teres sp. nov., are described from the Rhaetian and Sinemurian of England, respectively, from isolated tegmina. The features that distinguish fossil earwig fragments from other insect remains are discussed. A catalogue of fossil and subfossil Dermaptera is appended.Archidermaptera and Eodermaptera are only reported from fossil records.
