Collapsible smitty sled

But I had issues with it dragging on the snow and ice when trying to change directions.When you get to the ice, just lift the sled fore and aft and the axles will drop out of place. Remove the wheels and replace the spring clips. Put the wheels in a bag and add with the axles to the rest of your load.Thanks for the sled idea smitty. I built one to carry my 2 man Frabil and all the crap (too much) and it worked great. I made it so I could pull it with my 4 wheeler, I made mods so the cross bars bolted down, as I said worked great BUT it became to much work to assemble at the lake, in a hurry to get fishin.

Get whatever hut you want and build yourself a collapsible smitty sled with some used skis and some chunks of scrap wood. When not using my snowmachine I still take my flip over and all my gear. Here are pictures of a Smitty Sled I made for my flip-over ice shelter which has legs that fold down to lower the shelter down to the ice. It works well. A disadvantage of this folding Smitty Sled is that the wooden box weighs a lot.
