Skyrim illusion assassin build
OK I have a level 35 Bretton Illusion/Assassin (can I say how much I LOVE this build). I've maxed stealth, pretty close to maxing illusion, and have most of the perks in both trees. I only recently (late 20s) started adding archery into the mix just to deal with dragons, but I'm not sure if lugging around the Nightengale bow and tons of arrows is really my style. First time playing oblivion but i have played Skyrim and i usually create a assassin type character. If thief / illusion is a good build what race and attributes should i use and what skills should i focus. Please also suggest other builds if you think this would be a bad option for my first playthrough.

Dark Elf is a good choice for that starting with 20 illusion and sneak and offsetting the fire weakness. Frenzy is an aoe spell that makes enemies aggressive toward each other, and pacify is an aoe calm spell.
