We have 40 dog runs and about 85 cat cages. The Shenandoah VaIIey AnimaI Services Center began operation in September of 2011. Since opening, we have successfuIIy Iowered the euthanasia rates for our community!I mean this in the most scary, most threatening way possible. SVASC is FULL. Covid has hit the shelter and has SEVERAL staff members and volunteers out sick or quarantining; we have 4 staff members (myself and Tracey included in this) that are currently able to work and while we've been blessed with volunteer help, it isn't enough.
