Ports #1 through #3 are the 1 Gbps ports. Port #4 with the red stripe is the 2.5 Gbps port. With Gigabit internet, you should see 1.2 Gbps out of the 2.5 Gbps port, and with Gigabit Extra, you will see 1.4 Gbps. Gigabit Plus 1500 Mbps (upcoming) will give you 1.8 Gbps. Gigabit X2 will give you 2.2 Gbps or so.Only certain 3.1 modems are certified for it. Comcast mentioned in the XB8 press release that it is supported. XB7 may support it as well, not sure. Either way, Comcast has enable it on the network, and Comcast hasn't done it yet. Rumors are maybe in the summer this year, but that's just a rumor.
